Ghost towns and abandoned cities

"Nature reclaims what humans abandon, leaving behind a haunting beauty that echoes with stories untold."

India has many incredible stories about ghost places and abandoned cities. I feel very curious in exploring such places and their back story. They all have fascinating glimpses of history.

Let me start with the one I have experienced this year in Rajasthan. Rajasthan is considered to have the greatest number of ghost towns and cities.

Kuldhara village, Jaisalmer:

In the 19 th century, villagers of Kuldhara were forced to leave their homes due to the cruel and brutal rule of the local Diwan, Salim Singh. This cryptic place is believed to be cursed by the villagers that that no one can inhabit it again. God did not want us to visit Kuldhara and so, we tried going there thrice but couldn’t because of some reasons. My experience was interesting but full of difficulties. I had the interest to explore and hence I did it.

Few more such sites are Bhangarh fort (in the list of top 10 haunted places in the world), Talwa, Dumas Lakhpat, Rose Island, etc.

Each site holds secrets and stories that go beyond time, making them simulating for people of all ages. Whether a history lover or a thrill seeker, such places make it a captivating destination to explore.

These places offer a unique glimpse into the past, blending historical architecture with mysterious folklore.

I'm eager to uncover the truth behind these legends all the time.

Rainy season’s solace

‘Rainy season’s solace’- this phrase is as calming as the actual experience. Everyone has their own experiences and perspectives about rain. Some may find rain soothing and a happy time to cherish, but for some people, they may have a not-so-good time. This is all  about my experience of rainfall. And yes, at the end, you would feel the solace within you.  It is a quite delightful time for me. When the rain starts pouring, I leave all my stress and sit  in my balcony, enjoying the view and the soothing rhythm of rain fall. It suddenly becomes a  comfortable environment that I snug up into my beanbag and read a book while eating  some fresh meal. I even wear some cozy clothes to keep me warm. Sometimes, I get lost in  the beauty of nature.  After rains, when I step out of my house to get some fresh air, the fragrance of soil attracts  me everywhere, whereas the flowers bloom in fresh gardens. Cool breeze blows on my face  and the leaves gliste...

During our lifetime, we meet a lot of people and develop a lot of relationship, but only a few of them last forever. One such relationship is “ friendship ! ” As someone rightly said ‘ Friends are the family you choose. ‘ You may not always feel comfortable opening up or expressing your feelings with your family . At such time, friends come to your rescue. Friends are the one you feel at ease, sharing all your thoughts with , without the fear of being judgmental. They care for your well being . They are trustworthy and care about your feelings . They accept you as you are at the same time being, correct you when you go wrong. They are compassionate and forgive even when it’s your fault. True friends not only motivate you when you are down but also inspire you to achieve your true potential. The friendship of lord Krishna and Sudhama is a perfect example of true friendship.
